Poppet's Banging Summer
June 1st: 11:00 am
It was the beginging of the summer and Kristina Poppet was just getting to the airport in Cairo, Egypt to catch her airplane to her mother's home in England. The few weeks she'd spent in Egypt had been quite the adventure. There were a lot of dig sites to visit with her father, and had plenty of fun to last her until the next year that she'd see the man.
As she strutted through the air conditioned hallways of the airport in her favorite safari style shorts and intricately designed "lion converse", she thought about the upcoming year. Towards the last week of her 4th year in Friedhelm, she had gotten a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It had been quite a suprise, and she had sent a letter to her mother and father immediately telling them about the news. The prestigious school had asked her to study abroad for her 5th year. There were many ups and downs to the whole situation, but overall Kristina had decided it would be a good opportunity, and had sent her acceptance letter back to Proffessor Dumbledore just a few days ago. Her owl, Ginger, would be waiting with her mother when she got to London. Normally, Kristina wouldn't be headed back to her mother's house for another month, but Ms. Poppet wanted to make sure that her only daughter was comfortable in England before letting her spend an entire school year all alone in the country.
As the blonde girl found her terminal, quickly looking at her ticket to make sure, she smiled, looking out of the brilliant windows that showed a lovely view of the country she'd been spending her summers in for quite some time now. She sat down in a seat next to an old woman speaking French into a small wireless cellphone, and tugged the bottom her black halter top down gently. At the same time Kristina pulled out her favorite book, The Secret Country and began reading.
Quietly she read until her row was boarded into the small airplane. She was boarding with the middle class in row 16, seat D-the window seat. Stowing her carry-on under the seat infront of her, she waited to see who she would be seated next to, hoping that it would be someone of interest.
Maybe...maybe that's the begining. I think I might make it something else later.
